Job Title: Estimator
Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and support project planning. The candidate will play a key role in evaluating project requirements calculating costs and ensuring competitive and profitable bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications drawings and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Prepare detailed cost estimates budgets and quotations.
- Analyze material labor equipment and time requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing.
- Assist in preparing and submitting tenders and proposals.
- Identify potential cost risks and suggest cost-saving solutions.
- Work closely with project managers engineers and procurement teams.
- Maintain records of estimates and update cost databases.
- Compare estimated vs actual costs and improve accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in estimation / costing / quantity surveying.
- Strong understanding of costing budgeting and tendering processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documents.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in construction / infrastructure / manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD ERP or estimation tools.
- Knowledge of contract terms and procurement processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of cost estimates
- Timely submission of bids
- Bid win rate
- Cost variance (estimated vs actual)
