Job Title: QC Painting Inspector
Location: Dubai
Experience: 3 Years
Salary: Depends Upon Experience
Main Responsibilities:
- Inspect and assess surface preparation coating application and curing processes for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure the quality of paints coatings and materials used for painting projects meet the required specifications.
- Conduct visual and surface profile inspections to verify the proper application of coatings.
- Monitor and evaluate the application of coatings to ensure the correct techniques equipment and environmental conditions are used.
- Review and verify material certifications and ensure compliance with international standards and specifications.
- Perform and interpret inspections and tests such as coating thickness measurement adhesion testing and curing time evaluation.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and records of all activities.
- Collaborate with project teams contractors and clients to resolve quality issues and ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during painting and coating operations.
- Recommend improvements to coating and painting processes to increase efficiency and reduce defects.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; formal education or certification in Painting Technology Coating Inspection or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in QC Painting Inspection (e.g. NACE FROSIO or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in painting inspection in industries such as oil & gas construction or manufacturing.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of painting and coating standards such as SSPC ISO and ASTM.
- Expertise in coating inspection methods and tools (e.g. coating thickness gauges adhesion testers).
- Familiarity with surface preparation methods such as abrasive blasting and power tool cleaning.
- Ability to interpret project specifications technical drawings and painting standards.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify defects and areas for improvement in coating applications.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients contractors and project teams.
- Strong analytical skills for documenting and reporting quality control findings.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental standards in painting and coating operations.
