Technical Inpsection Consultant

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for Technical Inspection Consultants to join our team to support a growing portfolio of industrial inspection and quality surveillance projects in multiple locations across MEA.

This consultancy contract offers highly experienced independent specialists with a strong technical inspection background the opportunity to deliver third-party inspection vendor surveillance and quality assurance services across a range of heavy industrial sectors.

As a consultant you will perform independent third-party inspections in accordance with international codes and project specifications. Your role involves reviewing technical documentation including ITPs quality plans procedures drawings and material certifications alongside this you will witness testing activities and verify calibration of inspection and test equipment. You will also raise and follow up on non-conformance reports and prepare detailed inspection reports and release documentation.

The projects will be located across multiple countries in Africa and the Middle East depending on client demand.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Strong understanding of International standards such as ASME API ASTM ISO NACE IEC or equivalent
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings specifications and quality documentation

Required Competencies

• Strong reporting and communication skills
• High level of professional integrity and independence

Required Work Experience

• Minimum 10 years industrial experience
• Minimum 5-6 years in inspection roles within Oil & gas petrochemical power or heavy manufacturing industries
• Experience in vendor inspection and shop surveillance

Qualifications/ Certifications

• CSWIP 3.1/ 3.2
• AWS CWI
• API 510/570/653
• API SIRE/ rotating equipment certifications
• NACE/ BGAS coating certifications
• ASNT Level II (UTRTPTMT)
• Electrical or Instrumentation technical qualifications

Required Languages

• Fluent in English (Written and verbal)

Travel

• Willingness to work on rotational or resident assignments and travel at short notice
