Role Overview:

Orbit ISS are looking for a Piping Designer for a short-term assignment in an oil & gas and marine maintenance & conversion project. This is an immediate requirement and the selected candidate should be able to join as soon as the final interview is completed. The role involves preparing detailed piping layouts isometric drawings and related documentation while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe efficient and code-compliant designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare piping layouts isometric drawings and fabrication drawings for maintenance and conversion projects.
Interpret P&IDs process flow diagrams and mechanical specifications to produce accurate designs.
Ensure compliance with industry codes and client specifications (ASME API ANSI ISO).
Perform line routing studies considering structural mechanical and maintenance requirements.
Coordinate with structural mechanical electrical and instrumentation teams.
Provide technical support during fabrication installation and commissioning phases.
Maintain engineering databases BOMs and drawing revisions.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in piping design for oil & gas or marine projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D PDMS / SmartPlant 3D and familiar with CAESAR II for stress checking.
Knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3 B31.4 API ISO).
Experience in maintenance upgrade or conversion projects is highly desirable.
