ABOUT THE TEAM

The Maneuver Dominance team at Anduril develops operationally relevant multi-asset autonomy. We are focused on making large groups of autonomous systems work effectively together. We leverage existing Anduril drone platforms like Ghost or Altius in addition to bringing 3rd party platforms into Andurils Lattice ecosystem.

We are seeking diverse skill setsincluding Mechanical Electrical Systems Integration Validation & Testing to join our rapidly growing team in Abu Dhabi this role you will solve challenges in application development systems programming networking and autonomy ensuring Anduril products seamlessly integrate to achieve critical mission outcomes. WHAT YOULL DO

• Execute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts in a wide range of fields
• Perform trade studies and physics-based analysis of blue-sky engineering problems
• Design implementation and test of complex electro-mechanical systems
• High level system ownership with large levels of professional autonomy
• Lead design reviews run analysis visit vendors define and execute hardware test plans
• Build prototypes analyze failures and transition successful projects into production
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed
• Travel to test sites as needed
• Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision
• Wear many hats

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS MS or PhD in an engineering field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in an immersive technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings).
• Professional experience in mechanical or electrical design in a professional setting.
• Experience designing mechanical parts (CAD). Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining sheet metal composites 3D printing injection molding composite lamination etc).
• Ability to read interpret and manipulate schematics wiring diagrams and layouts.
• High competence with and fluid use of engineering first principles.
• A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact.
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
• Must be eligible to obtain a UAE security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience developing aircraft subsystem layouts performing architectural trade studies and evaluating vendor performance data.
• Competency in engineering analysis including structural thermal and electrical.
• Experience integrating weapons payloads or avionics onto aircraft.
• Hands-on prototyping (soldering board assembly harnessing).
• Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with designing for rugged environments.
• Experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems (sensors payloads weapons etc.) onto air vehicles.
• Experience in developing a variety of electronics hardware products (UAVs wearables firearms high power electric propulsion optical systems or other complex mechanisms).
• Experience in characterizing circuits at both schematic and board level.
• Practical experience with electrical engineering tools (Oscilloscopes power supplies electronic loads multimeters).

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
