Project engineer - HV

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning execution and completion of high voltage (HV) electrical works including substation installations switchgear transformers and cabling.
Review technical drawings specifications and scope of work for HV systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and authority regulations (e.g. DEWA ADDC SEWA).
Coordinate with consultants clients and internal teams for timely execution and resolution of technical issues.
Supervise the installation testing and commissioning of HV equipment and ensure proper integration with overall electrical systems.
Prepare and track project schedules material submittals RFIs and progress reports specific to HV works.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of HV equipment as per approved material schedules and specifications.
Manage subcontractors and ensure quality control safety compliance and adherence to approved procedures and standards.
Liaise with local utility authorities for inspection approvals and energization of HV systems.
Support the preparation of as-built drawings operation & maintenance manuals and project close-out documentation.
Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards during all stages of HV work.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
610 years of relevant experience in HV projects preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
Strong knowledge of HV equipment (e.g. GIS MV/LV Switchgear Transformers RMUs).
