Reporting to: Site Supervisor
Functional Co-ordination: Installation Operation and Maintenance Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation replacement and maintenance of AMI smart gas residential and commercial gas meters at residential buildings restaurants and commercial facilities.
- Assist in EVC (Electronic Volume Corrector) installation configuration and testing including base pressure/temperature and flow verification under supervision.
- Operate inspect and maintain PRMS equipment including pressure regulators valves filters and associated instrumentation.
- Conduct leak detection tightness testing pressure monitoring and functional checks of gas meters and associated systems.
- Support the calibration testing and troubleshooting of field instruments and measurement devices.
- Follow site work instructions method statements and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures always ensuring safe operations.
- Maintain accurate site logs maintenance records and asset documentation under supervision of Site Supervisor.
- Report equipment malfunctions abnormal readings and HSE hazards promptly to supervisors or engineers.
- Assist in emergency response activities including gas leak isolation purging and safety shutdowns.
- Ensure proper handling storage and care of tools equipment and meters maintaining operational readiness.
- Cooperate with QC and HSE personnel during inspections audits and testing to ensure compliance with standards.
- Participate in on-the-job training and skill development programs to enhance technical proficiency and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation or related technical discipline.
- Gas-related training or certifications are an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of AMI smart meters EVCs and PRMS operations preferred.
Experience
- 25 years of field experience in city gas distribution utilities or oil & gas operations.
- Hands-on experience in meter installation maintenance and gas distribution system operations is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ADNOC HSE procedures PTW systems and technical documentation.
