Practice Leader – Dubai
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned reinsurance professional to lead strategic growth initiatives in single or multiple reinsurance segments of Motor Health Property and Specialty reinsurance. This role demands deep market insight strong industry relationships and a proven track record in reinsurance business development and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive business growth and client engagement strategies across Middle East markets.
• Help develop and execute market strategies to position the Dubai branch as a growth engine.
• Lead initiatives in Treaty and Facultative segments including emerging revenue streams such as MGAs.
• Represent reinsurance to multiple stakeholders (regulators partners clients and reinsurers) across the region.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cedants brokers and reinsurers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and HO to align regional strategies with global objectives.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications & Experience-
• Extensive experience in the reinsurance industry or corporate solutions within the MENA region especially Middle east countries.
• Proven expertise in Treaty/Facultative.
• Exposure and experience in Motor/Health/Specialty/Property business segments. Exposure to MGA model is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge across multiple lines of business; specialization in one or more is advantageous.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing market strategies.
• Established network of relationships with regional cedants brokers and reinsurers.
• Experience in managing external stakeholder relationships including regulators and strategic partners.
Skills & Competencies
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and communication skills.
• Collaborative team player with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
