A civil engineering project managermanages theplanning and delivery of civil engineering projects:
- Project scope:Defines the project scope sets schedules and allocates resources
- Project management:Oversees the project from conception to completion ensuring its delivered on time and within budget
- Team management:Provides direction and manages the daytoday activities of the project team including consultants and contractors
- Communication:Coordinates and communicates with stakeholders team members and leadership to ensure milestones are met
- Quality assurance:Ensures quality deliverables and that QA/QC procedures are followed
- Risk management:Minimizes exposure and risk on the project
- Documentation:Ensures project documents are complete current and stored appropriately
- Collaboration:Collaborates with a diverse team of professionals such as architects engineers and construction staff
- Compliance:Monitors compliance with building and safety codes and regulations
