The role
The Growth Manager will play a critical supporting role within Edelman UAEs Growth team reporting to the UAE Growth Lead. This position is designed for a proactive highly organised and commercially minded professional with strong experience in business development or marketing within a communications or agency environment.
You will help orchestrate new business pursuits manage the operational and knowledge systems that underpin the growth function and contribute to building the intelligence and relationships that fuel Edelmans future growth. The ideal candidate will have 46 years of business development experience in UAE and be eager to develop their strategic and leadership capabilities in a dynamic growth-focused setting.
Key responsibilities
- Business Development Support
- Support the UAE Growth Lead in identifying tracking and qualifying new business opportunities across priority sectors.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to provide intelligence that informs pursuit strategies.
- Coordinate outreach and engagement with prospective clients and procurement teams helping to maintain strong professional relationships.
- Manage the agencys new business pipeline and ensure data accuracy within tracking tools.
- Work closely with client and sector leads to support their prospecting and conversion efforts.
- Pitch coordination & proposal development
- Support pitches and proposals from start to finish from RFP qualification to final presentations.
- Liaise with creative strategy and client service teams to gather inputs and coordinate timelines.
- For the most important pitches takes a hand on role managing pitch logistics including scheduling documentation and internal review processes.
- Support the Growth Lead in ensuring all submissions meet Edelmans global standards and best practices.
- Knowledge Systems & Performance Management
- Maintain and enhance the agencys knowledge management and pursuit tracking systems.
- Build and manage a content library of case studies credentials templates biographies and insights for use across pitches.
- Track and report pursuit performance metrics including win/loss ratios sector performance and conversion trends.
- Identify process improvements and help drive greater efficiency and collaboration within Operations and the UAE Growth lead.
- Insight & Internal Partnership
- Gather and synthesise insights on market developments client movements and industry trends to inform business strategy.
- Prepare reports and presentations for the UAE Growth Lead and senior leadership on performance opportunities and trends.
- Partner with finance operations and client teams to align commercial data with business development activity.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to help shape the future-fit growth strategy of Edelman UAE.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4-6 years of experience in business development marketing or communications in UAE deemed essential (agency or professional services experience preferred).
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
- Arabic language proficiency is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for crafting insightful business presentations.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot Salesforce) and Microsoft Office / Teams tools.
- Experience of using AI in a day-to-day work environment to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborative proactive and eager to learn - comfortable in a high-performing fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of integrated communications disciplines (PR digital creative strategy) is a strong advantage.
