Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Review & Compliance:
- Review contract terms and conditions to identify rights obligations and potential risks.
- Ensure contract-compliant implementation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track deviations and manage contractual obligations.
- Claims and Variations Management:
- Prepare manage and support negotiations of claims and variation orders.
- Obtain necessary approvals for variations.
- Coordinate with quantity surveyors and other teams on commercial matters.
- Contract Administration:
- Implement effective contract management processes and commercial strategies.
- Handle contractual correspondence and documentation.
- Finalize and manage subcontract agreements.
- Ensure timely submission of design documents and technical submittals.
- Commercial & Procurement Support:
- Provide contractual advice to the procurement team.
- Collaborate with finance and quantity surveyors on interim payment certificates (IPC).
- Ensure proper pricing and documentation of all contractualelements.
- Communication & Documentation:
- Manage formal communications with clients engineers and employers.
- Ensure timely submission of notices reports and responses.
- Maintain a record of all contractual correspondence to support dispute resolution if needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in relevant fields (Mechanics Electrics Civil Engineering Risk Management Finance Business Administration).
- Professional knowledge of Contract Law.
- 7 years in risk and contract management in construction/engineering.
- Experience with major infrastructure projects (200-250 million).
- Professional certification in risk management (e.g. CRM PRM PMI-RMP) is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal negotiation and communication skills.
- Significant customer and supplier relationship management.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Site experience in Construction and Engineering.
- Baggage handling or Construction project procurement experience.
- Scheduling experience.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
- Experience with international projects
