The Document Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the document control process for construction projects ensuring that all project-related documentation is accurately managed stored and distributed. This role involves developing and implementing document control systems ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards and managing a team of document controllers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Develop and maintain document control systems to manage project documentation including drawings plans contracts and reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Team Management: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of document controllers.
- Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and quality of documentation including proper filing and storage.
- Distribution: Manage the distribution of documents to project team members and external stakeholders.
- Audit Support: Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on document control activities and project documentation status.
- Training: Train project team members on document control procedures and systems.
- Improvement: Continuously improve document control processes and systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in document management software and construction management applications.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills.
Qualifications :
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in document control within the construction industry.
