The Pump Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on various pump systems including HVAC and water filtration equipment. The role involves inspections diagnostics repairs and performance monitoring to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular PPM on booster transfer sump sewage fire and HVAC pumps according to schedule.
- Diagnose and conduct corrective maintenance on pumps motors seals couplings bearings and valves.
- Inspect and maintain plate-type and shell & tube heat exchangers including cleaning and replacing gaskets.
- Monitor and maintain filtration systems for domestic water swimming pools HVAC loops and wastewater.
- Conduct vibration noise and leak checks; record flow pressure and temperature data.
- Dismantle and reassemble pumps and mechanical systems using appropriate tools and procedures.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of centrifugal submersible gear and vertical inline pumps
- Familiarity with PPM schedules maintenance checklists and CMMS systems
- Hands-on experience with mechanical seal replacements pump alignment motor coupling and impeller balancing
- Knowledge of HVAC chilled water systems and water chemistry (a plus)
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Safety-conscious; able to work independently or in a team
