Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
- Refine and optimize field service procedures for downhole products tailored to meet diverse customer field conditions.
- Collaborate with PID downhole product specialists to revise and improve procedures as needed.
- Ensure all field service activities are documented by site personnel meeting company and audit compliance requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to field service teams for inspecting downhole products.
- Support QA/QC teams in resolving customer claims and conducting investigations related to service activities.
- Consolidate and share lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement.
- Verify the compatibility of running tools and accessories with fiberglass pipes.
Competency Development
- Oversee the skill development and competency levels of field service engineers.
- Design and implement training programs to certify engineers and enhance their expertise.
- Assist in recruiting qualified field service engineers for downhole operations.
- Ensure customer service expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
Field Service Coordination
- Work closely with sales teams to monitor and forecast the demand for field service engineers.
- Ensure sufficient manpower is available to support downhole operations across all geographical markets.
- Collaborate with local field service managers to maximize resource utilization.
- When necessary coordinate temporary assignments of engineers outside their designated regions.
- Maintain detailed reporting of all downhole service activities.
Service Development
- Identify emerging service needs and work with relevant departments to develop new solutions.
- Support global sales teams in promoting the service portfolio with a clear value proposition.
- Define and review service contract scopes of work (SOW) as required.
Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE)
- Comply with all safety quality and environmental protocols and regulations.
- Actively report unsafe practices incidents or safety violations.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure consistent service quality worldwide.
- Participate in QHSE audits incident investigations customer claims and performance reviews.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and the adoption of best practices within field service teams.
Communication Scope
- Internal: Collaborate with field service managers PID project teams market development technical sales production and QC departments.
- External: Work with end-users service providers contractors subcontractors and third-party inspectors.
Decision-Making Authority
- Responsible for allocating manpower and managing site activities.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering (preferred).
Experience:
- 5 10 years of experience managing Drilling & Workover Services operations including resource allocation.
- Extensive field experience in Drilling and Workover operations Tubular Running Services and fiberglass pipe manufacturing and installation.
- Strong commercial acumen to identify and develop new service opportunities.
