As a Demi Chef de Partie you will play a pivotal role in preparing nutritious highquality dishes that align with the focus on health and wellbeing. Working closely with the Chef de Partie and the kitchen team you will ensure that every dish reflects the core values of

1. Food Preparation and Cooking:
- Assist in preparing and presenting dishes that promote health and wellness such as lowfat plantbased glutenfree or other specialised dietary options.
- Utilise fresh organic and locally sourced ingredients to create innovative nutritious meals.
- Maintain consistency in quality and presentation across all dishes.
2. Nutritional Focus:
- Stay informed about current trends in wellness cuisine including superfoods alternative ingredients and clean eating practices.
- Adapt recipes to accommodate special dietary needs such as vegan vegan and glutenfree diets.
3. Kitchen Organisation and Hygiene:
- Ensure your section complies with all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean organised and sustainable kitchen environment minimising food waste.
- Contribute to daily cleaning schedules and uphold health and safety protocols.
4.Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Chef de Partie to oversee your section and support junior team members.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth service especially during peak times.
- Participate in menu planning and tastings to contribute creative ideas for wellnessfocused dishes.
5. Learning and Development:
- Enhance your knowledge of wellnessfocused cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Seek opportunities for professional growth such as training or workshops in wellness and nutrition.
- Keep abreast of sustainable cooking practices and implement them in your work.
Requirements
- Culinary certification or equivalent experience in a healthconscious environment.
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie ideally in wellness or sustainable dining.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Knowledge of wellnessfocused cooking techniques and principles.
- Strong understanding of dietary trends and nutritional needs.
- Ability to balance creativity with the healthfocused requirements of the menu.
- Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills.
