Logistics Manager

• Look over the dispatch of cement and clinker via road and sea
  
• Act as the overall incharge of all shipping activities including bulk and container shipments
  
• Manage various divisions of the business including shipping land transport air freight contract logistics and warehousing
  
• Arrange container and road logistics for the company and distributors across the GCC Indian subcontinent Middle East and Africa
  
• Collaborate closely with shipping lines freight forwarding and NVOCC professionals
  
• Liaise effectively with shipping lines suppliers and port authorities to share training and knowledge on vessel schedules
  
• Evaluate ships by comparing freight and hire rates including reviewing charter parties
  
• Communicate with owners charterers and cobrokers to advise them on various pros and cons for successful fixtures
  
• Prepare distribution plans to ensure smooth logistics operations
  
• Coordinate with production materials and trading departments to develop a logistics plan for shipments
  
• Control weighbridge operations and plan road transport for materials from the factory to the port and other distribution centers and terminals
  

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  
• 24 years of experience as a Logistics Manager in the cement or manufacturing industry
  
• Strong handson experience in exports
  
• Excellent communication skills are essential
