Solar Design Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy design with a focus on photovoltaic (PV) systems. As a Solar Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing and optimizing solar systems for our clients ensuring that they meet their energy needs while adhering to all relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site visits to assess the feasibility of solar installations and gather necessary data for system design.
• Design and optimize solar systems using software such as PVsyst and AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for solar projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and sales team to ensure that solar systems meet client requirements and budget.
• Perform energy production and financial analysis to determine the viability of solar projects.
• Keep uptodate with industry trends codes and standards related to solar energy.
• Provide technical support to installation teams during the construction phase.
• Conduct quality control checks on completed installations to ensure they meet design specifications.
• Assist in the development of new solar products and services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on renewable energy or equivalent.
• Minimum of 510 years of experience in solar energy design preferably in the Middle East region.
• Proficiency in PVsyst and AutoCAD software.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as NEC IEC and DEWA regulations.
