Job Purpose
MEP Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. The Technician serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors.
Data center technicians provide an array of technical support to an organization's data center. They help ensure that the servers are consistently running smoothly, but when they're not running smoothly, data center technicians help problem solve and determine resolutions to avoid major downtime. With the virtual nature of data centers, security, reliability and availability are of utmost importance
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and daily visual inspections on major data center equipment.
- Daily checking healthiness of all facilities equipment's and keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, ELV equipment.
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility MEP systems.
- Maintain and operate all MEP related systems, associated equipment, electrical equipment, building management system.
- Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Create the Job cards in CAFM (FSI) Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards on which Engineer assigns.
- Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls.
- Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
- Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Electrical systems, ELV system, fire/life safety, and other systems.
- Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
- Maintain essential stock of spare parts.
- Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required.
- Attend training sessions and seminars.
- Other assigned tasks as requested.

Qualifications
Secondary School Certificate/ Technical Diploma preferable
