Finance Controller experience in crypto-currency financial regulations is required

Hiring for a large cryptocurrency company in Abu Dhabi.

• Oversee the finance operations within the company ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
  
• Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures that adhere to the rapidly evolving standards in the crypto market.
  
• Manage accounting records and keep abreast of changes in accounting standards that relate to crypto assets and transactions.
  
• Prepare financial statements including the handling of complex issues such as revenue recognition for token sales custody of digital assets and valuation of cryptocurrencies.
  
• Establish internal control policies to safeguard the companys digital and fiat assets including implementing software tools designed for monitoring cryptocurrency transactions.
  
• Monitor the volatile market of cryptocurrencies and its impact on company finances strategize to mitigate financial risks.
  
• Lead the accounting team ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions in a fastpaced hightransaction volume environment.
  
• Report to the CFO or other executive management team members about cash flows valuation models and significant financial trends that may impact strategic planning.
  
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity specialists to protect financial data through appropriate technology solutions.
  
• Engage with external auditors tax preparers and regulatory bodies as required for audits compliance reports and to ensure adherence to the latest tax codes concerning cryptocurrency transactions.
  
• Stay current with industry trends new blockchain technologies and competitive landscapes.
  
• Support and advise on financial aspects of business deals including partnerships investments and new product developments specific to the crypto sector.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Accounting Finance or relevant field with strong understanding of cryptocurrency financial regulations and reporting.
  
• Professional qualification such as ACCA CPA or similar with knowledge of crypto accounting principles.
  
• Demonstrated experience in a financial leadership role preferably within the crypto industry or financial services dealing with emerging technologies.
  
• Handson experience with financial reporting for crypto assets smart contracts and blockchainbased transactions.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and crypto tracking tools; knowledge of blockchain analytics is a plus.
  
• Strong analytical skills detailorientation and the ability to manage complex and confidential data.
  
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the capacity to work in a fastpaced innovative environment.
  
• Adaptability to the evolving landscape of regulations and technological advancements in digital assets.
