About The Role
As an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing various diseases, injuries, and defects related to the mouth, jaw, and face. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of medical professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centric care. Your role will also involve educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and performing surgical procedures on the mouth, jaw, and face, such as dental implant placement, facial trauma surgery, and corrective jaw surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat conditions of the mouth, jaw, and face
- Perform surgical procedures, including dental implant placement, corrective jaw surgery, and facial trauma surgery
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide post-surgery instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in oral maxillofacial surgery
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree
- Completion of a residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
- Board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
- Current state medical license
- Strong knowledge of oral and maxillofacial anatomy and pathology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
