LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team located in Cherry Hill, NJ. This role will be a contract assignment and offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial efficiency and compliance of a company dedicated to improving health outcomes worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
- Help oversee and manage individual accounts.
- Create, send, and follow up on invoices.
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.
- Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients.
- Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
- Participate in the financial audits.
- Support the payment processing team.
- Do ad hoc analysis and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency in mathematics.
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot numerical errors.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
