Revenue Accountant Law Firm

Our client an international law firm is currently looking for a Revenue Accountant to join their finance team based in their Dubai office. In this role you will play a crucial role in managing our firms revenue accounting activities ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisionmaking. Other responsibilities will be to:

• Manage and oversee the revenue recognition process in accordance with IFRS and firm policies.
  
• Prepare and review invoices for legal services provided ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  
• Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable following up on outstanding invoices and resolving any discrepancies.
  
• Conduct regular financial analysis to track revenue performance and identify trends or areas for improvement.
  
• Collaborate with legal teams to understand client billing arrangements and ensure proper revenue recognition.
  
• Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
  
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the firms financial integrity.
  
• Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in revenue accounting.
  

Requirements

To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  

• Minimum of 35 years of experience in revenue accounting preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and revenue recognition principles.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
