Storekeeper

As a Storekeeper in the UAE you will be responsible for managing inventory overseeing stock levels and ensuring efficient operation of the store or warehouse. You will maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods organize storage areas and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to fulfill orders and maintain adequate stock levels.Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:Receive inspect and record shipments of goods and materials.Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software or manual systems.Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.Storage and Organization:Organize and maintain storage areas and ensure items are stored appropriately to prevent damage or spoilage.Implement inventory control measures such as FIFO (First In First Out) to manage stock rotation.Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and records.Order Processing and Distribution:Prepare and pack orders for delivery or shipment based on customer requirements.Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure timely procurement of materials.Arrange transportation and logistics for outgoing shipments and track delivery schedules.Documentation and Reporting:Generate daily weekly and monthly reports on inventory status stock movements and consumption.Maintain records of goods received and issued including invoices and delivery notes.Provide accurate and timely information to management and other stakeholders as required.Health and Safety Compliance:Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies in storage and handling of materials.Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse or storage areas to facilitate safe working conditions.Participate in regular safety inspections and maintain emergency procedures and protocols.Team Collaboration:Collaborate with purchasing logistics and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues.Work closely with suppliers to resolve delivery discrepancies or quality issues.Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed to achieve departmental goals.Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a Storekeeper Warehouse Assistant or similar role preferably in a retail manufacturing or logistics environment.Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures.Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g. ERP systems) and MS Office (Excel Word).Strong organizational and time management skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and inventory control.Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (if required).Working Conditions:Storekeepers in the UAE typically work in warehouse or store environments.The role may involve standing lifting and carrying heavy objects.Working hours may vary and could include evenings weekends or overtime based on operational needs.Salary and Benefits:Salaries for Storekeepers in the UAE vary depending on the industry company size and experience level.
