HVAC Draftsmen

JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL DRAFTSMAN

We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Draftsman to join our team of professionals in the MEP contracting industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate HVAC drawings and schematics for a variety of projects ensuring the seamless integration of HVAC systems within MEP projects.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES:

1. Develop detailed HVAC drawings layouts and schematics based on project specifications codes and standards.

2. Utilize AutoCAD Revit and other drafting software to create 2D and 3D models of HVAC systems.

3. Collaborate with HVAC engineers architects and other stakeholders to ensure the effective integration of HVAC designs with overall MEP systems.

4. Generate shop drawings ductwork layouts and equipment schedules for procurement and construction purposes.

5. Conduct site visits to gather necessary information and verify compliance with design specifications during the construction phase.

6. Review and interpret architectural structural and MEP drawings to identify coordination issues and propose solutions.

7. Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to ensure timely delivery of drawings and adherence to project schedules.

8. Stay updated on industry trends codes and regulations related to HVAC systems and building construction.

9. Assist in value engineering initiatives to optimize HVAC designs for costeffectiveness and efficiency.

10. Provide technical support and assistance to junior draftsmen and other team members as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

2. Proven 5 years experience as an HVAC Draftsman in MEP contracting or construction industry.

3. Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other drafting software.

4. Strong knowledge of HVAC codes standards and practices.

5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

7. Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.

8. Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) is preferred.

9. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
