Public Relations Reactive Communications
Responsibility Summary:
- Help manage the Edward Jones community of social media followers building goodwill for the brand and protecting the firm's reputation.?
- Monitor corporate LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter and executive pages?.
- Escalate issues to stakeholders?.
- Respond to client, investor and general public questions on social media.
- Manage and utilize the Hootsuite management and Cision monitoring?.
- Participate in Social Listening, SEO, and Insights meetings, providing Public Relations perspective.
- Contribute to Digital Reputation Management program including reviewing privacy scans ?and Google results for firm and executives.
- Provide traditional and social media monitoring.
- Support other external communications initiatives and programs, as needed.
- Project Details:
- Effectively build relationships to achieve business outcomes. Influence business area leaders and associates and provide guidance on goals, key messages and targeting to deliver content for a variety of audiences and channels.
- Serve on virtual teams that cross multiple divisions.
- Write and edit a broad range of communications for external opportunities that will bring the firm's purpose and illustrate the firm's culture and its strategic transformation.
- Support the firm as we expand and grow our presence on social media and through other important external communications initiatives.
Team Details:
- This person will work alongside another specialist focused on social media and two senior specialists in PR, as part of the Reactive Public Relations team within Enterprise Communications.
Training:
- Contractor will have 2 weeks of onboarding with the team leader and be assigned an onboarding (associate) partner for the duration of their contract.
Preferred Work Schedule/Hours 8 A.m. 5 Pm. CT
Position Requirements Required Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing or public relations, with a strong preference for hands-on experience in digital or social media marketing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content to different social media channels and engage with diverse audiences.
- Possess a strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital technologies including Hootsuite, Cision, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (previously Twitter), Instagram.
- Demonstrated project management experience.

- Experience making high-quality, efficient decisions by selecting the right approach for the task at hand.
