What You Will Do
- The project manager analyzes new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and other solution components. The project managers:
- Leads team on large projects or significant segments of large complex projects.
- Facilitates the strategic management process and provides consulting expertise and project management for specific strategic initiatives that are deemed high risk or critical to success of the client organization.
- Provides applications systems analysis and programming activities for multiple Government sites and/or facilities.
- Oversees all aspects of projects, including the preparation of long and short-range plans for necessary support resources.
- Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
- Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
- Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, and secure customer approvals. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk.
What You Will Need
- An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree; Education requirement may be waived if the candidate has ten (10) or more years of experience.
- Five (5) years of experience or more in:
- Managing all facets of project management, such as budgeting, scheduling, procurement, quality, and risk
- Providing written and oral reports to management, customers, and stakeholders regarding progress of projects
