This position will deliver support as a component of Juniper’s maintenance support Services (Program). The TSE’s are in charge of providing technical support for Juniper devices (Routing, Switching, Security and Network Management Security.

The resolution of a Service Request may include problem isolation, lab replication, solution testing, packet capture, analyzing network traces, perform remote diagnostics and perform remote configuration.

Training will be on site during 1-2 weeks approximately.

Network Fundamentals

IP tools

OSI Model (concepts and traffic on each layer)

Traffic types (unicast, multicast, broadcast)

Routing / Routed protocols

Distance vector Protocols and Link State Protocol

ARP

STP

Operation, concepts of RSTP, PVST. Ports states and port roles, costs, root-bridge election, Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) basic operation

Layer 2 Protocols

Functions and operation of ARP, DHCP, Port-Security, Storm Control, LLDP, IGMP, L2PT (QinQ)

Layer 2 Communication

VLANs, trunks, access ports, native VLANs. Unicast and broadcast flooding.

Quality of Service (QoS)
