- Ability to understand business and technical requirements and translate them in custom end to end architecture based on client needs.
- Led a minimum of 2 technical implementations of data platforms.
- Hands-on proven knowledge on preparing data engineering pipelines using at least one o the tools and platforms such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, Pentaho, T-SQL, Python, Spark, or any other cloud hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle OCI).
- Hands-on experience with SQL like databases is a must. Hands-on experience with Hadoop, MapR or NoSQL databases will be plus.
- Hands-on experience in designing and maintaining physical data models for data warehouses (dimensional models) or operational databases (relational models).
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing real time / event-based data engineering pipelines is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines from various data sources such as APIs, Web Services, Databases, Streams, Files, Object Storage etc.
- Hands-on experience on designing and implementing slowly changing dimensions will be a plus.
- Hands-on experience in orchestrating multiple data engineering pipelines based on data source and business needs.
- Hands-on experience in designing and managing the end-to-end deployment of data engineering pipelines using appropriate DevOps practices and tools.
- Proven experience in conducting data source analysis, source to target mapping and transformation rule design and definition.
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Hands-on experience in applying data quality frameworks and rules within data engineering pipelines will be a plus.
- Ability to conduct performance tuning and optimization of data processing and analytics workflows to maximize efficiency and scalability.
- Produces a high-quality work product and collaborate with others to deliver a superior client experience.
- Understands how business functions operate and how sector trends impact a client’s business
- Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of key processes within a business function.
- Selects appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data, and develop informed recommendations that shape or support the client’s business strategy.
- Maintains composure through conflict and sensitive situations, escalating issues to engagement/account leadership when appropriate
- Organizes insights and define a logical flow to tell a story when presenting recommendations
- Applies awareness of global trends to address client needs and enhance recommendations
- Applies a global and diverse perspective to problem solving
- Addresses client business challenges in the intersection of process and technology
- Understands the broader business environment and how analytics can support the client’s overall strategic initiatives
- Recognizes the appropriate analytical techniques to address the client challenge and applies rigor to all analytical models
