Located:
opening of a brand-new UK curriculum school in Dubai for September 2023. The School will be located in Al Waha, Dubai, very close to Sustainable City as well as many other attractive, expat Communities along the Al Qudra Road area.
Role and Responsibilities:
All teaching and leadership staff will be UK-qualified and experienced international school teachers and leaders.
The school will open for learners from FS1 to Year 8 in the founding year, growing subsequently each year to offer a through school curriculum within six years from its opening.
GEMS Metropole School is seeking to appoint a teaching assistant for an immediate start.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting with reading related activities, running small group activities inside or outside and preparing the classroom activities and the supporting documents.
You will cover class for short periods of time and develop familiarity with relevant aspects of the curriculum including literacy, numeracy and phonetics. You will also be responsible to manage the cupboards stock and take children to toilets when required.
In this role, you will assist the teacher with a wide range of tasks on a regular basis. You will supervise small groups of children or whole classes in emergency situations or when instructed.
Qualification:
Apart from being a good communicator with an excellent command of English, the ideal candidate will also have
- a good level of general education especially in Mathematics and English.
- basic IT skills.
- previous experience in a similar position or working with children.
