Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review and approve Contractor’s Shop Drawings
• Conduct continuous site inspections of the work in progress and consult with both the Engineer’s and Contractor’s supervisory staff.
• Reviewing contractor’s method statements.
• Participate in reviewing the Contractor’s proposed materials
• Monitor conformance with the Contractor’s schedule.
• Verify measurements of work taken by Inspectors and Land Surveyors.
• Coordinate with the Contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and method of work.
• Review Contractor’s inspection, surveying, and testing requests and subsequent completed reports.
• Provide general oversight of Inspector’s daily activities, including work assignments, on site performance, and guidance on the supervision of the Contractor’s operations.
