Restaurant Hostess

Responsibilities:

• Ensure hostess desk/door is manned at all times so that all customers receive a friendly & prompt welcome.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for customers according to the Restaurant Reservations SOP.
• Actively use the standards detailed in F&B; Enquiry/ Booking Checklist when taking Restaurant enquiries or bookings.
• Greet guests, and escort them to tables, and provide menus.
• Knowledgeable of all in-house services as well as local information and be able to assist guests when questioned.
• Have a working knowledge of the dining room layout, table numbers, stations and colleagues working during each shift.
• Be familiar enough with the menu to answer any questions the guests may have and should inform guests of any specials at time of seating.
• Answer telephone within 3 rings using the Heart of Jumeirah Standards.
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of all menu items, F&B; Service procedures and Jumeirah Hygiene Standards.
• Immediately share guest name to relevant service staff directly after seating.
• Inform staff of any specific guest request or needs
• Be responsible for the collection and input of any relevant guest history in Seven Rooms profile
• Ensure a proper capture of all guest source data (in-house, local residents, outside tourist, SBU) and consolidate per shift.
