Job Description

Minimum qualification: • At least 1 year as a Safety Officer in Qatar • Available to start ASAP • Able to transfer visa to ours Duties and responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs within the organization. • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports on the causes and recommendations for prevention. • Provide safety training to employees, including orientation for new hires and ongoing safety education. • Collaborate with department heads and managers to promote a safety-conscious culture throughout the organization. • Review and update emergency response plans and procedures, and conduct drills to ensure readiness. • Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards. • Maintain records of safety-related incidents, training, and safety equipment inspections. • Recommend and implement corrective actions and improvements to prevent accidents and injuries. • Conduct safety meetings and communicate safety information to employees and management. • Evaluate safety equipment and personal protective gear for effectiveness and ensure their availability. • Stay informed about industry best practices, changes in safety regulations, and emerging safety technologies. • Coordinate with external agencies, such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), as needed. • Participate in safety committees and engage in collaborative efforts to enhance workplace safety. • Develop and distribute safety-related communications and materials to raise awareness. • Assist in the procurement and maintenance of safety-related equipment and supplies. • Conduct safety assessments of new equipment, processes, or facilities before they are introduced into the workplace. • Analyze trends in safety data and recommend measures to reduce risk and improve safety performance. • Provide guidance and support during emergency situations and assist in the coordination of emergency response activities.
