Job Description
Black & Grey HR is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading developer in Abu Dhabi UAE. Our client is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role demands a proactive and detailoriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong technical background and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring precise cost estimation effective quantity surveying practices and adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for construction projects encompassing materials labor equipment and associated costs.
Collect and verify quantity measurements on site preparing detailed quantity survey reports.
Provide technical advice and assistance on all facets of quantity surveying activities to support informed decisionmaking.
Actively participate in site visits and contribute to the preparation of detailed reports as directed by the project manager.
Identify potential risks associated with project costs and offer recommendations for effective risk mitigation strategies.
Assess the impact of variations and change orders on project costs and timelines ensuring accurate documentation and communication.
Assist in reviewing and monitoring actual expenditure against budget for contractors and subcontractors.
Collaborate with the project team to resolve any quantity or costrelated issues that may arise during the project execution phase.
Maintain effective communication with clients contractors subcontractors and other stakeholders to address concerns provide updates and manage expectations.
Ensure strict adherence to contractual and legal obligations related to quantity surveying and cost control.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends through continuous learning and exploration actively engaging in professional development activities.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying or related fields
4 years in quantity surveying role with at least 1 year of experience in the Middle East region in real estate construction supervision projects.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing quantity surveying software and tools like Primavera Revit AutoCAD Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools Contract Manager and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System)
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Advanced Excel PowerPoint and Word)
Fluent in English Arabic is a plus
Preferred Skills:
Strong presentation interpersonal public speaking technical writing skills and business acumen
Comprehension and adeptness in navigating construction contract commercial documents drawings and specifications.
Adept at building and maintaining trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience working in a fastpaced dynamic environment and ability to deal with clients on a daily basis in highpressure environments
Wellorganized diligent proactive assertive welldisciplined and a team player

- Preferred degree in Architecture, Design, Fine Arts, or similar. - 5-7 years' experience in the design sector. - Mandatory 2+ years' experience in the UAE/GCC region. - Proven track as a 3D Visualization Artist with a diverse portfolio. - Skilled in software like Autodesk 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, Blender, V-Ray, and Adobe Suite. - Familiarity with real-time rendering and VR visualization is a plus.
