Job Description

- Evaluate inventory levels, develop efficient inventory management practices, and coordinate the ordering and acquisition of materials.
- Prepare orders and reports to monitor and control supplies inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of material purchased, costs, and deliveries.
- Shorten lead times for procurement and production related items.
- Resolve supplier inquiries and disputes.
- Establish purchase orders with vendors, track deliveries and order confirmations.
- Analyze and identify alternatives leading to cost reduction, improve efficiency and process improvements.
- Research and recommend better source of material and cost-saving opportunities.
- Make sure material procurement practices are conducted within the organization’s quality, safety, and ethical standards.
- Monitor material inventory for various activities like initial stock counts,cycle counts, re-order points, and ABC analyses.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
