Responsibilities:
- Perform complex molecular-based procedures, including nucleic acid extraction, RT-PCR, and qPCR, with a high degree of quality and in accordance to established protocols.
- Maintain complete documentation for all steps of the process per the SOPs.
- Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies and document all quality control activities.
- Participate in the training of other technologists when requested.
- Participate in weekly and monthly instrument maintenance.
- Troubleshoot events that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.
