Lab Technician- August 2024 3 months

Date Posted: 21/01/2024 We are looking to recruit a temporary Laboratory Technician for 3 months to join ACS International School Doha, Qatar. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for providing technical support to science teachers and students in the school’s laboratory. Reporting to: Head of Science Requirements: Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field ( preferred Chemistry) • Previous experience in a laboratory setting • Previous experience in a school is preferred Knowledge and Skills • Understanding of laboratory safety protools and best practices • Familiariy with common laboratory equipment and techniques • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Responsibilities • Set up and organize laboratory equipment, materials and resources for science experiments and demonatrations. • Enforce safety protocols are followed to ensure secure and hazard-free laboratory environment. • Ensure all necessary supplies are available for each laboratory session. • Maintain an organized inventory of laboratory supplies, chemicals and equipment • Order and restock supplies as needed keeping within budget constraints. • Collaborate with science teachers to understand the requirements of upcoming experiments and activities • Provide guidance and support to students during laboratory sessions
