Inspection Method EngineerSITUATION IN ORGANIZATIONPosition N+1: Lead, Inspection MethodsPosition N+2: Head, InspectionACCOUNTABILITIESTo develop and implement Inspection strategies, procedures and reports to ensure that fitness for service of offshore installation is known and degradation mechanisms are evaluated to define short, medium and long terms remedial/mitigation measures.ACTIVITIESThe many and varied activities include:• Identify the specific threats to each item of equipment.• Ensure that fitness for service analyses are in place for downgraded equipment.• Ensure that temporary repairs in place have been properly engineered and are fit for service.• Ensure that any required mitigation systems have been applied, monitor and report back accordingly.• Ensure that Inspection activities workload & resources strategy are adequate by:• Having visibility of inspection activities workload for the whole year.• Use means to control & monitor progress of execution and backlog (i.e S-curve).• Setting up culture to perform inspection on overdue integrity recommendations.• Assure the integrity of the data held in the inspection management system(s).• Contribute to the development of a robust RBI strategy for Topside equipment.• Lead RBI program ensuring that the baseline remains auditable, and that subsequent inspection results are captured and re-run accordingly.• Contribute to and support Fabric Maintenance and Corrosion Under Insulation initiatives.• Prepare relevant KPI s and ensure their use for improvement actions and Mgt visibility.• Remain updated on development of new inspection techniques to ensure Integrity of equipment.• Support deferrals of equipment via FFS analysis, integrity statement drafting and site collaboration to define risk.• Proactively monitor, review and analyze plant and equipment performance and provide feedback.• Provide the Team Lead with regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results.CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENTDoha (Qatar) office.Standard office hours, 5 days a week.Trip to offshore and visit to OEM/service company workshop are required on ah-hoc basis.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED• Degree qualified minimum BEng / BSc in a relevant Discipline.• Certification to RBI related API 580/581 preferred with a strong working knowledge of its principles.• Certification in API 510 (static equipment) & 570 (piping) also beneficial, else a strong working knowledge.• Minimum 5 years experience in the Oil & Gas sector in a similar role.• Strong working knowledge of ASME VIII (BPV Code), ASME B31.1 (piping code) and ASME PCC-2 (repair code).• Broad knowledge of standard and advanced NDT techniques; their application and limitations.• Clear understanding of Integrity Management.• Clear understanding of Fitness For Service principles for pressurized systems.• Fluent in written and spoken English.• SAP CMMS, Credosoft IMS and FAME+ RBI software experience an advantage.• Working knowledge of international codes and standards pertinent to inspection and integrity field.• Practical inspection/integrity background including plant based experience
