Job Description
- Responsible and accountable for the review of geotechnical analyses, assessments, interpretations and other types of reports
- Conducting and reviewing geotechnical and geophysical investigations, and making recommendations based on results of such investigations
- Review submittals and manage design process of Infrastructure works and solve problems in an infrastructure civil engineering area of expertise, with close supervision
- Provide a project engineering interface for various design issues, structural analysis, long lead material requirements, cost estimates, drawing review and approval
- Review and approve the development of civil, roads & infrastructure engineering-related designs, and detailed engineering works performed by Designers or engineering contractors.
- Manage the review and verification of site selection, site surveys, site preparations, civil works general layouts, roads & building location, security requirements, mobility studies, Smart Technology, technical specifications, standards, design calculations, critically rating and engineering procedures, evaluation reports and award recommendations.
- Perform integrity reviews and ensure study recommendations are implemented as necessary.
- Ensure value engineering applications and cost-effective solutions are incorporated at all stages of project execution.
- Lead the design consultants to most viable design applying the Value Engineering during design stage to achieve the optimized practical design.
- Review and approve the technical construction method statements
- Support the project managers in design stage and construction stage
- Leading the progress in compliance with the project requirements and in full coordination with Senior Managers to achieve the target KPIs on the scheduled time.
- Provide engineering/ technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems.
- Manage the routine development of civil engineering construction documents and perform site visits regularly.
- Review and comment on geotechnical or geophysical investigation reports, including methodology, findings or results and recommendations, geotechnical design reports, project specifications and contract documents.
- Review geotechnical and geophysical investigation requirements for various project components and coordination with consultants and client.
- Review grading and foundation plans for conformance with contract documents.
- Oversee planning and coordination of geotechnical and geophysical subsurface investigations, inspection of site investigations in process, evaluation of field and laboratory methods, procedures, test data, geotechnical analyses and design for foundations, embankments, cut slopes in soil and rock, slurry walls, earth retaining structures and ground improvement.
