Providing the preparation of assigned technical documentation (of varying technical complexity, depending on the skills and experience acquired) for example, basic design of electrical systems (conversion, distribution, lighting and electrical protection), measuring systems (fire and gas detection, communications, monitoring and regulation) and automatic control systems (in particular , but not limited to HVAC systems), in addition to the technical management of service components and systems for buildings under the supervision of a building design project leader or building electrical and instrumentation specialist, ensuring their quality on time and within the assigned budget.
Perform electrical, instrumentation and control systems design for civil and industrial buildings such as preparing specifications and/or reports, performing calculations, technical management of supplies for assigned components and systems as directed by persons with greater experience and coordination with other disciplines.
Ensure the quality of the documentation produced and its compliance with contract requirements for the assigned project(s) in accordance with the program, as well as company standards.
Verify and comment on documentation produced by suppliers and contractors during project development.
Interface with other disciplines to benefit from useful information for the design of electrical, standard and control systems serving civil and industrial buildings and cooperate in integrated and collaborative design activities between disciplines.
Cooperation in the specific specialty of integrated 3D modeling of the building developed using the BIM methodology.
Participate in activities related to estimating quantities and works and preparing the necessary technical documents for both project acquisition and factory implementation.
Assist the Building Design Project Leader in preparing the technical documentation referred to in the request for materials related to electrical, measuring and instrumentation systems according to project requirements.
Follow up on the development of related electrical and standard systems supplies.
Support, where required, estimating and estimating activities associated with electrical, measuring and instrumentation systems for the remit of the Estimating and Managing Material and Work Quantities Group.
Assist functions responsible for testing, construction and commissioning activities, based on requests and project needs.
Participate, alongside or temporarily replace the specialist, in factory testing activities for electrical and standard systems in close cooperation with the Test Department, and for site installation, commissioning and acceptance testing activities.
