Job Description
VAM Systems is currently looking for Database Administrator for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions: Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies Minimum experience: 2 Years in Hadoop Technologies and 3 years IT Industry experience Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure (strong database knowledge) MCSA SQL Server, MCSE Data Management and Analytics or higher qualification Solid experience maintaining Oracle Databases Experience in managing projects Experience in Managed Services and customer interactions Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools Experience with antivirus/malware and patch management technologies Experience with administering systems, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Lync, SharePoint Experience in telecom technologies (Voice & Data, Advanced Connectivity, Security Services, Data Centre & Cloud, Mobility & Applications) Working experience in VCloud Director, VMWare, Network and/or Storage Solid experience in supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems Solid experience maintaining and applying security policies and procedures Solid experience in supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers Minimum education: BSc. / B.E / M.C.A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems International Certifications (MCSA SQL Server, MCSE Data Management and Analytics) Knowledge and skills: Microsoft SQL Server Oracle RAC Programming / Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) Knowledge of Operating Systems including Windows, Linux/UNIX Good knowledge of enterprise level networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, SFTP, Proxy, Firewalls) Understanding of Services Oriented, Micro-Services Architectures and how it relates to business requirements. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills Excellent problem-solving skills Key accountabilities A Database Administrators (DBA) responsibilities include the following tasks: Installing and upgrading the database servers and tools Allocating system storage and capacity planning for future requirements for the database systems Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects Modifying the database structures, as necessary, from information given by application developers Enrolling users and maintaining databases security Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement Controlling and monitoring user access to the database Monitoring and optimizing/tuning the performance of the database instances Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database Planning for backup and recovery of databases Maintaining archived data Backing up and restoring databases Generating various reports by querying databases as per need Documenting the configuration of databases Contacting database vendor for technical support Applying application/tools software updates, patches, and configuration changes on an ongoing basis. Maintain and the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of the all servers associated to Database Servers Terms and conditions Joining time frame: (15 - 30 days) The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems - UAE and shall be deputed to one of the Organizations in UAE.
