Sr. Product Owner Job Description

Summary: Min 4 years of relevant experience as PO in Agile Product environment for mobile products.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Currently the position is fully remote within Canada. But we would prefer the candidate to be residing with in GTA or willing to relocate to GTA post the current pandemic situation.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and translate business needs into functional specifications and obtain sign-off from stakeholders on these specifications.
  
• Create, refine, and maintain user stories and associated deliverables such as process flows to meet development and stakeholder needs.
  

• Develop & manage the project roadmap though out the product development process.
  
• Work within an Agile environment and lead all agile ceremonies.
  
• Build and maintain good strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and act as a proxy for the client to the development teams.
  
• Manage the product development life cycle of define / build / release / measure end-to-end.
  
• Work closely with the scrum team, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and high-level estimates.
  
• Maintain a strong sense of accountability and ownership of the product.
  
• Effectively communicate product requirements to team members, articulate design, and product decisions to clients.
  

Requirements

Required Skills:

• 4 years of Relevant Experience as Product Owner
  
• BS or MS in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  
• 3 years of experience with agile product development and methodologies
  
• 3 years of experience in people management
  
• Proven effectiveness engaging with remote, distributed teams
  
• Highly proficient in JIRA & Confluence
  
• Experience in measuring project metrics on JIRA
  
• Experience in Product Road mapping & strategy
  
• Strong knowledge of mobile app development methodologies.
  
• Experience with Data analytics to connect the dots, make sense of data, and offer creative solutions
  
• Proven track record delivering successful products and great client experiences.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & manage multiple projects.
  

Nice to Have Skills:

• Scrum training and certifications (CSPO, PSPO & CSM)
  
• Experience administering projects in GitHub and Atlassian s Jira
  
• Experience in contributing to product design process.
  
• Experience in new digital technologies such Cloud, Analytics, No-SQL databases is preferred.
  
• Experience is researching and improving products and process.
