Job Summary
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the organizations financial health and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and financial policies
- Support audits by providing required documentation and reports
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable ledger
- Ensure timely invoicing and accurate recording of transactions
- Follow up on outstanding payments and support collection efforts
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare regular aging reports and highlight overdue accounts
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure billing accuracy
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 25 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Good understanding of UAE VAT and compliance requirements
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Applicant must be currently a Dubai resident
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. MS Dynamics 365 ZOHO or similar)
- Professional certification (ACCA CPA or equivalent) is a plus
- Experience in IT Distribution
- Arabic native speaker
