Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and creative Chef de Partie specializing in Arabic cuisine to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Head Chef to deliver authentic high-quality Arabic dishes maintain kitchen standards and support a collaborative and respectful kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Arabic dishes to menu specifications ensuring consistency of portion control presentation and flavour.

  • Manage a section of the kitchen during service coordinating with commis chefs and kitchen porters to ensure smooth and timely delivery of dishes.

  • Follow established recipes and contribute to menu development with suggestions for new dishes seasonal ingredients and traditional techniques.

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene safety and cleanliness in line with statutory regulations and company policies.

  • Monitor stock levels for the assigned section assist with inventory checks and minimise food waste through efficient preparation practices.

  • Ensure correct storage of ingredients including spices fresh produce and perishable items and rotate stock.

  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house and other kitchen teams to manage service flow special dietary requirements and guest requests.

  • Participate in training and development activities for junior team members including on-the-job coaching and mentoring.

  • Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and report any hazards incidents or maintenance issues promptly.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie within restaurants hotels or catering operations with demonstrable experience in Arabic cuisine.

  • Strong knowledge of traditional Arabic ingredients cooking methods (such as slow-cooking grilling mezze preparation) and regional flavour profiles.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced service environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work constructively within a multicultural team.

  • Awareness of food safety hygiene standards and safe handling procedures; relevant food hygiene certification is desirable.

  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to menu changes and dietary requests including halal requirements and common food allergies.

  • Strong organisational skills time management and a proactive approach to problem-solving in the kitchen.

  • Flexibility with shift patterns including evenings weekends and public holidays as required.
