The Workshop Manager oversees daily workshop operations ensuring efficient maintenance repair and servicing of vehicles/equipment. Key Responsibilities
Manage daily workshop operations and ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance tasks
Supervise technicians assign workloads and monitor performance
Diagnose technical issues and provide guidance on complex repairs
Ensure compliance with UAE safety standards company policies and industry regulations
Plan preventive maintenance schedules for vehicles/equipment
Monitor workshop productivity quality of work and turnaround time
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement
Prepare job estimates repair orders and service reports
Communicate with customers/clients regarding service updates approvals and delivery timelines
Control workshop costs and optimize resource utilization
Train technicians and ensure skill development through ongoing technical training
Maintain cleanliness organization and safety inside the workshop
Work with management on budgeting forecasting and improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Technology or related field
58 years of experience in workshop operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Strong technical knowledge of vehicles/equipment relevant to the business (automotive heavy machinery fleet etc.)
Experience working in a UAE workshop environment (preferred)
Strong leadership communication and decision-making skills
Familiarity with workshop management systems and job-card processes
Understanding of UAE health and safety regulations
