Senior LNG Process Optimization Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior LNG Process Optimization Engineer to support the full lifecycle of our FLNG (Floating LNG) developmentfrom design and construction through startup and steady operations. This role is ideal for a seniorlevel LNG professional who can bridge engineering commissioning and operations.

You will initially be based in Dubai during the Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) phase and later relocate to Cap Lopez Gabon for the operational phase of the FLNG facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate process design including PFDs P&IDs heat and mass balances and vendor packages.
• Participate in safety reviews such as HAZOP PHA SIL and LOPA.
• Support development of operating procedures training manuals and operator training simulator (OTS).
• Participate in 3D model reviews ensuring safe layout accessibility and operability.
• Contribute to commissioning and startup plans including precommissioning and dynamic commissioning.
• Ensure the design supports long-term operability safety and reliability.

• Provide technical leadership to solve process upsets and plant performance issues.
• Optimize LNG plant efficiency reliability and energy performance.
• Lead troubleshooting rootcause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support control system optimization including APC PID tuning and alarm management.
• Identify and lead improvement projects for safety production and cost reduction.
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement across the operations team.

• Act as a process safety leader and ensure strict adherence to QHSE standards.
• Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure integrity of process systems and safe operating envelopes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• 10 years experience in gas processing with 5 years in LNG.
• Strong background in both EPC/design and operations/troubleshooting.
• Experience with commissioning startup and performance optimization.
• Skilled in process simulation tools (e.g. HYSYS).
• Strong analytical skills leadership capability and communication skills.
