Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving storage picking packing and dispatch activities. The role includes conducting regular training for storekeepers to ensure tasks are performed safely efficiently and in compliance with established procedures.
The position is responsible for effective inventory management by maintaining accurate stock records conducting periodic audits and cycle counts and ensuring consistent safety awareness throughout all material handling and stores operations.
In this role your responsibilities will be:
- Lead and supervise the parts warehouse team by planning assigning cost savings and monitoring daily activities to ensure safe efficient and productive operations.
- Manage end to end warehouse activities including receiving storage/location control picking kitting packing and handover of shipments to freight forwarders.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements through adherence to procedures proper documentation and participation in internal and external audits.
- Develop implement and maintain warehouse SOPs and conduct risk assessments in compliance with company HSE policies and guidelines.
- Promote a strong safety culture through daily toolbox talks safety training and continuous safety awareness across warehouse operations.
- Drive digitalization system improvements and warehouse automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Define monitor and report warehouse KPIs implementing corrective and preventive actions to achieve performance targets.
- Train coach and develop team members on warehouse processes SOPs and safe operation of equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Purchasing Quality Planning Logistics and Finance to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution.
- Oversee inventory management including cycle counts audits annual stock counts discrepancy resolution and ERP inventory accuracy.
- Drive 5S and Lean practices warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Ensure maintenance and calibration of warehouse equipment manage warehouse consumables and provide inputs on capacity planning nonconformance handling and material scrapping
- Adhere to Health Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.
Who you are
- Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
For this role you will need:
- Bachelors degree in engineering Supply Chain Management Logistics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 510 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications that set you apart
- Experience in digital transformation and warehouse automation initiatives.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Lean 5S and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Control valve knowledge is mandatory.
