A Hostess (Pool & Beach) with Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is responsible for delivering an exceptional first impression by warmly welcoming guests coordinating seating arrangements and ensuring a seamless dining experience within the hotels pool and beach food & beverage venues.
What will I be doing
As a Hostess (Pool & Beach) you will be responsible for greeting guests managing reservations and seating flow and supporting smooth operations within the pool and beach dining areas. You will uphold the highest standards of luxury hospitality ensuring comfort efficiency and personalized service. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Welcome all guests with warmth and professionalism escorting them to their allocated tables loungers or cabanas in accordance with outlet standards.
- Coordinate seating arrangements in collaboration with the service team to optimize guest flow and comfort in both poolside and beachfront settings
- Manage reservations walk-ins and waiting lists efficiently ensuring accurate recording of guest details preferences and special requests
- Answer telephone calls and respond to guest enquiries in accordance with hotel telephone etiquette and SOPs
- Maintain and update the reservation system or logbook throughout each service period
- Provide guests with menus and relevant outlet information demonstrating strong knowledge of food beverage and promotional offerings
- Communicate guest arrivals preferences and VIP information promptly to the service team
- Ensure the hostess desk and surrounding reception area remain organized presentable and fully prepared prior to service
- Support guest experience by anticipating needs providing directions within the pool and beach areas and addressing requests promptly
- Maintain awareness of hotel health safety and hygiene standards including pool and beach operational guidelines
- Ensure all required materials (menus reservation records stationery communication tools) are prepared and well maintained
Uphold the brands luxury service standards grooming expectations and professional conduct at all times.
