CIB Coverage Associate

Profile Summary

We are looking for an Associate to join our C&IB Coverage and Regional Management Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct support to C&IB Coverage and Regional Management (GM/JGM) for origination execution and planning
• Provide full support for origination focused workflows specifically client and sector research production of high quality specific / generic pitchbooks modelling related to quasi vanilla and structured debt financing advisory M&A and development of Mizuhos regional business strategy
• Contribute to achieve revenue & profit targets through close working relationship with dedicated sector / geographic C&IB Coverage bankers
• Support C&IB Coverage in working with key Product Partners and internal stakeholders to deliver best-in class C&IB solutions to Mizuhos regional clients.
• Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Provide support to C&IB Coverage and regional management for; deal origination focused workflows including creation of client account and new ideas based on client-specific and industry research negotiation with clients on commercial and legal terms across key CIB products Transaction execution and monitoring .
• Production of high quality marketing materials for specific clients and cross product pitch materials including response to RFPs which differentiate Mizuho from its competitor
• Modelling of quasi M&A and complex structured deals
• Global coordination with relevant product departments
• Sector insight based on desktop research and client insights
• Supporting credit analysis for specific clients and focus countries and credit monitoring through cooperation with each credit analyst
• Engagement with planning of mid-term country business strategy including exposure management plan and creation of internal presentation materials
• Comply with various regulations related to Mizuho business and internal rules
• Full support for any other ad-hoc job tasks to be requested by C&IB Coverage and regional management

Qualifications Skills and Experience

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent
• Great organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Customer-centric career experience
• Demonstrable ability to innovate support change and problem solve
• Collaborative nature to contribute to a successful team performance
• Sound knowledge of the Banking Industry
• High level of computer literacy and skills in data manipulation / presentation
• Language skills are an asset but not essential
