The Operations Manager at Tmart is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operational activities of the company ensuring efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness across all departments. Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight and Process Optimization.
Design implement and monitor operational processes and procedures to maximize efficiency productivity and service quality.
Oversee day-to-day business operations across various departments (e.g. supply chain logistics fulfillment customer service).
Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement developing and executing action plans to resolve operational challenges.
Ensure all operations comply with relevant legal regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Manage operational budgets track expenditures and implement cost-control measures without compromising quality.
Team Leadership and Management
Lead mentor and manage a diverse team of operations staff fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and high performance.
Conduct performance reviews set clear goals and provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities.
Manage staffing levels including recruitment training and scheduling to meet operational demands effectively.
Promote a safe and positive work environment.
Strategy and Planning
Contribute to the development and execution of Tmarts strategic operational goals.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance and inform decision-making.
Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance risks and strategic initiatives to senior management.
Coordinate with other department heads (e.g. Sales Finance Technology) to ensure seamless cross-functional operations.
Technology and System Management
Evaluate and manage operational technology systems (e.g. ERP inventory management systems) to ensure they effectively support business needs.
Drive the adoption of new technologies and digital tools to enhance operational capabilities.
Ensure data integrity and security within operational systems.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Operations Management Supply Chain or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in operations management preferably within the retail e-commerce or fast-paced logistics sectors.
Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and implementing successful process improvements.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets and controlling costs.
Exceptional leadership people management and team-building skills.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in using operational software ERP systems and data analysis tools.
Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Attributes
Certification in Operational Excellence (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
Experience managing geographically dispersed teams or multi-site operations.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to Tmarts industry.
