Job Summary
Apt Resources is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Driver cum Mechanic for our client in Dubai UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods equipment or personnel ensuring timely delivery. Key duties include adhering to traffic laws and company policies conducting pre- and post-trip inspections and performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on engines brakes transmissions and hydraulics. The role also involves diagnosing mechanical issues coordinating with external workshops for major repairs and maintaining accurate service records. Candidates must ensure vehicles meet regulatory and safety standards promptly report accidents or breakdowns and follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license (or relevant country license).
- Proven experience as a heavy vehicle driver and mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Ability to handle emergency repairs and troubleshoot on-site.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Physically fit and able to manage demanding tasks.
